ABOUT US:Kyoeiseicha Co. Ltd. is one of the leading producers ofJapanese green teas, main site located in Uji (Kyoto) since 1836.Our product range includes loose tea leaves such as qualitative Maccha (ground green tea often used for the Japanese tea ceremony), Gyokuro (very rare and qualitative non-fermented tea), Sencha (non-fermented green tea), Houjicha (roasted tea) and Genmaicha (Sencha with roasted brown rice). In addition, we also lineup bagged teas, instant teas, and tea powders mixed with sugar to create innovative beverages and confectioneries.Our products are sold not only under our original brand - Morihan - , but also under private labels. You can find these products in well-known department stores, supermarkets, tea shops and hotels in Asia, the US and Europe.Moreover, our proudly supplying Maccha and green tea powder receive high reputations for their color, flavor and taste, and they are being used by numbers of world well-known beverage, Ice cream and confectionery makers or brands.COMPANY HISTORY:1836 - Opened Morihan Seichasho in Ogura, Uji City, Kyoto.1872 - Opened Matsumotoken Chaho in Yodoyabashi, Osaka.1918 - Matsumotoken Chaho and Morihan Seichasho became counterparties.1928 - Developed Kori Cha (Gyokuro, Sencha brewing by cold water)1929 - Launched the sale on the Hankyu Market.1930 - Developed Vacuum-canned Green Tea for the first time in the industry.1940 - Established Kyoei Seicha Co., Ltd. as a joint venture of Morihan Seishasho and Matsumotoken Chaho. Capital was JPY190,000.1952 - Relocated the Head Office to Kitahama, Higashiku, Osaka.1963 - Established Uji factory for manufacturing Green Tea.1964 - Relocated the Head Office to Nishitenma, Kitaku, Osaka.1966 - Established Tokyo Office. Started producing Vacuum-Canned Products for the first time in the green tea industry.1982 - Increased capital to JPY45,000,000.1987 - Established Nagoya Office.1992 - Entered into licensing agreements with Royal Doulton Japan K.K and started sales of Black Tea products.1994 - Developed Awadatsu maccha Au Lait and Awadatsu Royal Milk Tea.1996 - Introduced MINTON TEA.1998 - Introduced Royal Albert Tea.2005 - Relocate the Head Office to current location.2006 - Installed new large-size grinding machines and a latest sterilizing machine.
